Saturday 6th of September | Vernissage : Cannupa Hanska Luger | ||||
![]() The Verbier 3-D Foundation is proud to unveil a new site-specific work by this year’s artist-in-residence, Cannupa Hanska Luger, displayed in the sculpture park. During his six-week residency in the alpine village of Verbier, Luger immersed himself in the landscape and the Bagnes community, using his multidisciplinary practice to explore the complex relationships between people and places. His time in Verbier served as a space for reflection on ecological awareness, cultural heritage, and community responsibility. Drawing on Indigenous knowledge systems and material histories, Luger’s new work engages with the region’s unique environmental heritage and the evolving relationship with the land and its resources. By weaving connections between local and global narratives, the artist invites us to imagine a future shaped by deeper connections, responsibility, and collective courage. Schedule Please wear comfortable clothing, hiking shoes, and don’t forget to bring water. Families, strollers, and dogs are welcome! |
